The Story

This keychain features a genuine Orthoceras, an extinct "straight-shelled" cephalopod that lived approximately 400 million years ago. A relative of the modern squid, the Orthoceras utilized its chambered shell to navigate the ancient Devonian seas. Recovered from the Atlas Mountain Range in Morocco, these specimens have been meticulously polished to highlight the fossilized internal structure of the shell. Integrating this ancient relic into a functional keychain allows you to carry a tangible piece of Earth’s geological history with you—a small but profound sign of the intricate biological designs that have existed across the eras.

Heritage & Authenticity Note

 * Quantity: Please note that each purchase is for ONE (1) individual Orthoceras Keychain.

 * Authenticity: All items are guaranteed authentic by Dahr • Earth & Era. These are genuine fossils recovered from Morocco and polished for daily use.

 * Natural Variation: Please note that the item pictured is a representative of our collection. Because these are natural treasures of the Earth, the specific fossil you receive may vary in size, exact shape, and the unique internal patterning of the shell.

 * Nature’s Mark: As genuine fossils approximately 400 million years old, natural surface lines, mineral veins, or minor organic imperfections may be present. These are not defects but are characteristic signs of the item's genuine ancient nature.

 * Handling: While polished for durability, the fossil remains an inherently fragile material. It should be handled with care and protected from heavy impacts or being struck against hard surfaces.

 * Return Policy: To maintain the integrity of our collection, all sales are final. No refunds are accepted except in extraordinary circumstances, solely at the discretion of the gallery.
